Valarie Anderson

Valarie Anderson has spent most of her life here in the Tri-Cities. Valarie’s first opportunity playing volleyball was as a 7th grader at Hanford Middle School. She quickly fell in love with the sport and dove all-in playing school and club year-round.  As a freshman in high school Valarie made the JV team. As a sophomore and throughout the remainder of high school, Valarie was a starting outside hitter on the varsity team.  She graduated Hanford High School in 2000 and attended BYU-Idaho, a strictly academic university.

Over the past 10 years, Valarie pursued her passion of volleyball through coaching. In her coaching career, she spent five years at Hanford High School coaching the JV team and assisting the varsity team.  With three small children at home, Valarie decided to take a Head Coach position at a middle school, allowing her more time with her young family.  She continued as Head Coach at the middle school level for five years before taking on a position at Richland High School.  In addition to school volleyball, Valarie has also taken the opportunity to coach all age levels in USA Volleyball and is excited to come back to coaching USAV with Club Gold.
