Thera Rew

Hello I’m Thera Rew.  I was born and raised in the Tri-Cites and love it here.  My love for the game of volleyball started in the stands as a 8 year old little sister begging to go to her older sisters volleyball games.  I could hardly wait the 5 years till I was in 7th grade and could play volleyball.  I played for 2 years at Carmichael Middle School and went on to play at Richland High School from 1997-2000 (lettering 2 years).  Watching a few of my older teammates from RHS go to CBC gave me confidence that I too could play the next level of volleyball.  After graduating high school in 2001, I went to Columbia Basin College to play volleyball as a setter.

In 2010, I graduated from Washington State University with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I have enjoyed many years of playing recreation volleyball and basketball while raising my 5 kids.  I have had many opportunities to coach youth sports with my growing kids at the YMCA, City Rec League, and TCYSA.  As a parent, teacher, and coach I love being part of kids lives and watching them grow on and off the court, in and out of “school”.  I am so excited to be part of the Club Gold Team!
